are named after the meticulous process we devote to every drop of our double marc, dual extracts. We start by grinding dried mushroom fruiting bodies into a powder as the increased surface area allows for a more efficient extraction. The resulting product (known as a marc) is soaked in certified organic cane spirits for 8 weeks and agitated twice daily. We then use a different batch of ground mushrooms (hence the “double marc”) for our water extraction. The second marc is simmered for 8 hours in purified water; a process that breaks down the cell walls of fungi and allows for more bioavailability of the various beneficial compounds. The resulting alcohol and hot water extracts are combined at a 1:2 ratio to create our 8&8 tinctures.
